Can we feed the animals?
At Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo, we are happy to offer all food for the critters.
Please do not feed the animals any other outside food, it will make them very sick.
Do you offer mini horse rides?
Introduce your little ones to riding! Pony rides are offered at Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo for children under 50 pounds, no taller than 48 inches and able to hold on for themselves. A parent or guardian must lead the pony at all times.
What kind of animals do you have?
Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo has goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, mini horses, mini donkeys, a Scottish Highland calf and sheep. We frequently add animals to our farm, so be sure and come visit to see the newest members of our brood! A lot of the animals have a profile on the website along with some fun facts about their species!
How are your animals treated?
The animals at Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo know nothing but love, affection, snuggles and what it's like to be VERY well fed! We treat our animals with kindness and respect every day; they don't need or want for anything!
At what age can kids visit Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo?
Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo is perfect for ages 0-100. All of our animals are gentle and kind, so this is the perfect place for kids and adults alike to get comfortable with animals and learn something about them too.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes we accept Debit and Credit at our farm.
Can I pet the animals?
Of course! You can pet every single one, and they love it!
Is there a gift shop?
Yes! We have a small gift shop here at the farm.
Do you sell rabbits?
Yes, sometimes when we get large litters or too many boys, we sell bunnies.
Do you sell eggs?
Yes, we sell eggs when available.
Do you sell chicks (baby chickens)?
Yes, when we have chicks, they can be bought at Shepperly Farm! You can also purchase ducklings, baby turkeys, and adult birds.
Are you open year round?
Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo is typically open from May-November. We are closed during the winter months. We open May 14th, 2022
Where are you located?
Shepperly Farm Petting Zoo is located at 3240 Grandview Avenue in beautiful Canon City, Colorado. We have a wooden sign out front - you can't miss us! From Pueblo or Salida, Take U.S. 50 to Cañon City. From there it is a few minutes drive to our beautiful farm on the edge of town.
